Edit: my belongings were eventually delivered. Company attempted to schedule delivery on date they knew I would not be available. Driver was able to adjust to the following morning. Driver alluded to me paying less than I should have due to the actual weight of my shipment. This, of course, not taking into account the explicit agreement with the company in Stoneham, QC. Luckily all items were in the same condition as when loaded. Extremely important items in the shipment were required 5 days prior to the eventual unloading. These items were required for proper operations at an event taking place. originally assured items would be in transit to New Brunswick within less than a week of initial loading on 6 May 2025 said the departure to New Brunswick would be no later than 9 May 2025. On 11 or 12 May 2025 a blizzard occurred 1530km plus away in the wrong direction. This blizzard apparently caused the delay and inability to deliver until 22 May 2025 (according to the Allied Van Lines head office). The 22 May came and went. I was not informed of delays or any issues by the origin agent until my call and email campaign continued. I was eventually offered an unloading date on 27 May 2025 which the company (Allied and Astral) had been notified of me not being available. Then I made an agreement to unload 0600am on 28 May 2025. Notices of delays or proper notification of delivery times available were non existent for the majority of time dealing with this. I am a veteran with an OSI (see PTSD) and had to resort to only communicating through Allied Van Lines Canadian head office. Delay of delivery has caused shortcomings in events and projects requiring my attendance and products in particular 24-25 May and 13-14-15 June. These shortcomings have resulted in damage to my personal reputation.
